| Jason -- Thirty-three Republicans in Congress represent districts that voted to send President Obama to Washington to reform our health insurance system. And 32 of them -- all but one -- voted against health insurance reform. They voted with the insurance industry, and against their constituents. They voted against ending discrimination based on pre-existing conditions, against reining in skyrocketing premiums, and against expanding health coverage to more Americans. But it's not too late for them to do the right thing -- the House still needs to vote once more on health reform. The last vote was extremely close, and we'll need to fight for every vote in the final round. So we've started an aggressive radio ad campaign to make sure these 32 understand that if they vote against the wishes and interests of their constituents again, they will be held accountable. Please chip in $5 or more to get ads on the air in these critical districts right away. When a district votes for a Republican representative and a Democratic president, they expect their representatives to reach across the aisle to be a partner for change. And next Election Day, voters will be asking themselves, "Is my representative still on my side -- or on the side of D.C. special interests?" These 32 representatives answered that question when they voted to put insurance companies first. With your help, we can make sure their constituents hear about it by blanketing the radio waves in their home districts. This is what real accountability looks like. It's the first step toward ensuring that Congress represents the voters who sent them to Washington -- and it could well be critical to winning the final health reform vote. Please donate $5 or more so we can get these accountability messages on the air when and where they matter most: https://donate.barackobama. Video: A remarkable anniversary
Jason --One year ago today, you made history.
We all knew that electing Barack Obama President was only the opportunity to bring about change; that we would all have to keep working to fulfill the promise our victory offered.
And you've come through -- by making hundreds of thousands of calls to Congress to push health reform forward, by pouring your effort into seemingly insurmountable challenges time and again, and, since January, by building on the power of our campaign to create Organizing for America.
And now, with the finish line on health reform in sight, we need your voice more than ever before.
To mark this special day, President Obama just recorded a video for supporters like you -- please watch his message, and sign up to join OFA in your community today.
Thank you so much for fighting so hard and giving so much to make the promise of a stronger, more just and prosperous America in the years ahead a reality:
